The Cleantech Camp accelerator returns to Porto for its fourth edition and is on the prowl once again for clean energy startups.

InnoEnergy, Naturgy, Enagas, CEiiA and Barcelona Activa are promoting today the fourth open call for Cleantech Camp, an acceleration program aimed at business ideas or startups working in the clean energy sector.

Naturgy seeks solutions in the following fields:

• Artificial Intelligence applied to the client.
• Combined renewable gas and electricity solutions
• Sustainable Mobility
• Batteries and consumption

Enagás seeks solutions in:

• Sustainable mobility
• Renewable gas (biogas-biomethane)
• Power2Gas and Renewable Hydrogen Generation
• Solutions for the storage, regasification and transport of natural gas and other renewable gases.

The promoters of the program are looking for ideas to make a selection of a maximum of 15 projects that promote efficient energy consumption, the application of sustainable energies, the energy transition and the digitization of the energy sector.

Applications to participate in the program can be made through the website from January 23 until February 24.

In June, the three projects with the highest potential will be selected, which will receive a prize of 20,000, 10,000 and 5,000 euros, respectively.

In addition, they will also receive other contributions in kind to promote growth and consolidation, supported by the different entities involved in the program. As the main novelty in this year’s edition, the selected start-ups should present a commercial pilot of their project.

The Cleantech Camp panel of judges will select two pilots who will be co-financed by the program and will be developed with Naturgy, Enagás and CEiiA.

Cleantech Camp looks for digital and industrial projects oriented towards energy efficiency and that drive the energy transition through renewable energies, decentralized production enabling the consumer, whose application is made from new technologies such as blockchain, use of big data and artificial intelligence.

As new thematic areas of this year, biogas, biomethane, hydrogen and Smart Factory projects are being sought, as well as themes already available in the program in previous editions such as energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, smart grids, smart & sustainable cities or renewable energy.

The selected projects will follow a training program in Porto, Barcelona and Madrid for several weeks, with the participation of ESADE as a training partner and will combine training sessions, specialized workshops for the development of projects and networking meetings, led by different specialists.

In addition, the projects will have access to CEiiA’s facilities in Porto and the incubation spaces of Barcelona Activa, InnovaHub of Naturgy and the Enagas Venture Center in Madrid.
